Considering it’s only been up a week and there isn’t much going on this took me by surprise. However they had spotted that in the about page there was a reference to the Robot Co-op, which it isn’t, so they were thinking that it may have something to do with them. Shamefully I have to admit that it was just some light fingered copying on my part to save time. Don’t worry I didn’t copy the entire thing outright, I just went to my top ten favourite sites and *drew inspiration* from all of them. I will be going back and editing/revising/whatever those pages when I have the time.

Also I got the ‘digg like spy effect’ working on the homepage which scrolls through the newest recipes which I thought was quite cool. No I didn’t copy that from them, I made it myself using the jQuery framework, which is quite handy.

I found a bug with the css which meant the pages screwed up in IE6. I debated for ages whether or not to fix it and in the end I did. Unfortunately it did mean editing most of the pages on the site (as it was structural) but nevermind it’s done now!

I’m slowly bolting all the features into place, some have yet to be made but I think I’ll leave those untill more content is added so I can get a feel of it all.

This is just me saying hello! And marking the first milestone, domain registration and uploading of the beta site.

I expect that nobody will actually read this until the site has a few users which may be ages (if ever!) so if someone other than myself is reading this then hurrah!

I will attempt to post updates on this here blog to detail the progress of the site, however don’t expect much as I am prone to long stretches of procrastination…
